The Pylontech Fidus Battery Plus is a premium 51.2V low-voltage LiFePO4 battery designed for high-demand residential solar systems, load-shedding protection, off-grid installations and suitable light-commercial energy storage applications.

With 16.076kWh of nominal energy, 16.076kWh of rated usable energy and support for 100% Depth of Discharge, one Fidus Battery Plus stores substantially more energy than a conventional 5kWh battery module. Its powerful 200A continuous charge and discharge capability also makes it suitable for systems that require both extended backup time and high instantaneous power delivery.

The Fidus Battery Plus combines a refined wall-mounted or floor-standing enclosure with IP65 protection, C5-M anti-corrosion performance, an integrated display, app-based monitoring, built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, and an optional integrated aerosol fire-suppression module.

One Fidus Battery Plus provides 16.076kWh of nominal energy and 16.076kWh of rated usable energy under the manufacturer’s stated test conditions.

This high-capacity format can reduce the number of individual battery modules, interconnection cables and rack components required for a large residential storage system. It is an excellent option for homes with substantial evening consumption, frequent load shedding, larger essential-load circuits or extended backup requirements.

100% Depth of Discharge support

The battery supports 100% Depth of Discharge, allowing the installed storage capacity to be used more effectively when the system is configured for maximum energy availability.

The factory-default lower State of Charge limit is set to 5% and is adjustable. The final reserve setting should be selected by the installer according to backup requirements, inverter settings, operating conditions and applicable warranty terms.

High current capability for demanding loads

The Fidus Battery Plus supports up to 200A continuous charging and 200A continuous discharging, with a 300A peak charge or discharge current for 15 seconds.

This strong current capability helps the battery support larger compatible inverters and demanding household or light-commercial loads, while still providing the energy capacity needed for longer backup periods.

Smart monitoring with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and integrated display

Built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, an integrated display and app-based monitoring provide convenient access to important battery information.

Depending on system configuration, firmware and app availability, smart monitoring can support status viewing, parameter management, firmware updates and fault reporting, helping installers and system owners manage the battery more efficiently.

IP65 protection for demanding environments

The enclosure carries an IP65 rating, providing protection against dust and water jets when installed in accordance with the manufacturer’s requirements. C5-M anti-corrosion performance further supports use in demanding environments exposed to humidity, smoke or salty air.

The battery can be installed indoors or in a suitable outdoor location. It must not be submerged, and the installer must still provide the required mounting surface, drainage, clearances, cable protection and protection from site-specific hazards.

Multi-layer safety with optional aerosol fire suppression

The Fidus Battery Plus is designed with multi-layer battery protection and is available with an optional integrated aerosol fire-suppression module.

This option adds another layer of protection for customers and projects with enhanced safety requirements. The aerosol configuration is optional and must be confirmed when the system is specified and ordered.

Flexible wall-mounted or floor-standing installation

The battery supports both wall-mounted and floor-standing installation, allowing it to suit modern homes, garages, plant rooms, equipment areas and light-commercial premises.

Its integrated high-capacity design offers a clean alternative to assembling several smaller rack-mounted modules, while retaining the flexibility to expand the system later.

Scalable for future expansion

Up to 20 Fidus Battery Plus units can be configured in one battery group, providing as much as 321.52kWh of nominal battery capacity in a correctly engineered single-group system.

For larger multi-group systems, up to 6 battery strings are supported using a Pylontech LV-HUB-V2 as the master parallel controller. Under the manufacturer’s multi-group requirement, each group is limited to a maximum of 19 batteries.

This scalable architecture allows customers to begin with the capacity needed today and expand as household consumption, solar generation, backup requirements or business loads increase.

Designed for long-term energy storage

The Fidus Battery Plus is rated for 8,000+ cycle-class operation under the manufacturer’s specified test conditions and has a 15-year design life at 25°C.

It is supported by a 10-year product warranty, subject to the current Pylontech warranty terms, approved operating conditions, product registration requirements, compatible system design and correct installation.

Compatible with leading inverter brands

CAN and RS485 communication allow the battery management system to exchange operating data with approved compatible inverters and energy-management equipment.

Compatibility is model-specific. The exact inverter model, firmware version, communication cable, protocol, current settings and battery quantity must be checked against the latest Pylontech compatibility information before installation.

Technical specifications

*Cycle-life performance is based on the manufacturer’s specified operating conditions. The specification references testing at 25°C, 0.2C charge/discharge and a 5% to 95% State of Charge range. Actual service life and delivered energy depend on system settings, temperature, current, operating profile and maintenance conditions.

System configuration examples

*Configuration values are calculated from 16.076kWh of nominal and rated usable energy per battery. Actual available energy depends on the configured SOC limits, temperature, current, inverter settings and operating conditions. A single battery group supports up to 20 batteries. For multi-group parallel systems, LV-HUB-V2 is required as the master controller, with a maximum of 19 batteries per group and up to 6 strings, subject to current Pylontech system-design requirements.

Installation and compatibility requirements

Installation and commissioning must be completed by a qualified solar or electrical installer in accordance with the current Pylontech installation documentation and local electrical regulations.

Although the enclosure is rated IP65, the battery must not be submerged or installed in a flood-prone location. Outdoor installations must follow Pylontech’s environmental, orientation, clearance and cable-entry requirements.
