Pylontech UF5000 5.12kWh LiFePO4 Battery
A flexible, reliable 5.12 kWh energy-storage module for residential solar and backup power
The Pylontech UF5000 is a 51.2 V lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) battery designed for residential solar energy storage, load-shedding protection, backup power and off-grid applications. Each module provides 5.12 kWh of nominal energy and 4.864 kWh of usable energy, with a 95% Depth of Discharge that allows more stored solar power to be used for household loads.
The UF5000 is built around three practical priorities: usable capacity, installation flexibility and long-term scalability. It supports both wall-mounted and standard 19-inch rack-mounted installation, communicates with compatible inverters through RS485 or CAN, and allows up to 20 battery modules to be configured in a single battery group. This gives homeowners and installers a flexible platform for systems ranging from compact 5.12 kWh installations to larger storage configurations of up to 102.4 kWh nominal capacity.
Important:Â Inverter compatibility, supported battery quantity, firmware version, communication settings and battery configuration must be confirmed before installation.

Why UF5000
More usable energy from every module
The UF5000 provides 5.12 kWh of nominal energy and 4.864 kWh of usable energy. Its 95% Depth of Discharge allows a greater proportion of the battery’s stored energy to be used before recharging is required.
This additional usable capacity can help households increase solar self-consumption, reduce unnecessary grid imports and retain stored energy for evening loads, load shedding and unexpected power interruptions.
Actual available energy depends on operating temperature, inverter settings, battery condition and the system’s configured reserve capacity.
Strong charge and discharge capability
The UF5000 supports a recommended and maximum continuous charge/discharge current of 100 A. At the battery’s nominal voltage of 51.2 V, this corresponds to approximately 5.12 kW of DC power per battery group at nominal operating conditions.
The battery also supports a specified peak charge/discharge current of 121-200 A for 15 seconds, allowing the system to respond to short-duration power demands within the manufacturer’s approved operating limits.
Actual system output is determined by the connected inverter, battery quantity, cable sizing, protective equipment, temperature and Battery Management System operating limits.
Flexible wall-mounted or rack-mounted installation
The UF5000 can be installed on a wall or mounted inside a standard 19-inch battery rack.
Wall mounting helps conserve floor space and is well suited to compact residential installations, utility rooms and garages. Rack mounting provides an organised solution for multi-battery systems, dedicated battery rooms and installations where future expansion or service access is an important consideration.
The selected mounting method must follow Pylontech installation instructions, required clearances and structural support requirements.
Scalable low-voltage system architecture
The 51.2 V UF5000 is designed as a repeatable building block for low-voltage energy-storage systems. Up to 20 modules can be configured in one battery group, allowing nominal storage capacity to increase from 5.12 kWh with one module to 102.4 kWh with 20 modules.
This modular architecture allows customers to begin with the capacity they need and expand the system as household consumption, solar generation or backup requirements increase.
The maximum usable energy of a 20-module group is calculated at 97.28 kWh based on the stated 4.864 kWh usable capacity per module. The final supported battery quantity may be limited by the selected inverter, communication architecture and approved system design.
Long-life LiFePO4 platform
Lithium iron phosphate chemistry combines thermal stability, long cycle life and dependable performance for stationary energy-storage applications.
The UF5000 has a stated design life of 15 years at 25°C and is rated for more than 6000 cycles under the manufacturer’s specified operating conditions. Actual service life depends on operating temperature, charge and discharge rate, Depth of Discharge, system configuration and maintenance conditions.
Intelligent battery monitoring and control
The integrated Battery Management System continuously monitors and manages important battery operating conditions to support safe, reliable and efficient performance.
RS485 and CAN communication allow the UF5000 to exchange battery status and operating information with compatible inverters and energy-management systems. Correct communication enables coordinated charging, discharging and system protection.
Inverter firmware, battery communication protocol and cable pin configuration must be confirmed before commissioning.
Practical installation for residential energy storage
The UF5000 measures 442 x 452.6 x 161 mm and weighs 42 kg per battery module. Its compact format supports space-conscious residential installations while retaining the flexibility required for larger rack-mounted configurations.
The battery uses natural cooling and does not require a dedicated fan inside the module. Installation clearances must still be maintained to support heat dissipation and safe service access.
Designed for protected indoor installation
The UF5000 has an IP20 enclosure rating. It must be installed indoors or inside a suitable protective battery enclosure.
The installation location must protect the battery from rain, moisture, condensation, conductive dust, corrosive substances, direct heat sources and physical damage. The battery must not be treated as a weatherproof outdoor product.
Long-term product support
The UF5000 is backed by a 10-year Pylontech product warranty, subject to the applicable warranty terms, approved operating conditions and correct installation and commissioning.
Customers and installers should confirm whether product registration, commissioning records, compatible-inverter requirements or other supporting documentation must be completed to maintain warranty coverage.
